Meet Ca'Shawn 'Cookie' Sims

So at the age of 9 I started running track. I competed in the 400m, 800m, and the relays (4 x 1 and 4 x 4). I even competed and was invited to the Junior Olympics a few times. I ran track on and off up until my 2nd year of college when I transferred out of state for school. Here is where I started my fitness journey. I didn't know there was a difference between being an athlete and your personal fitness journey until I hit my lowest point in college and started using fitness as a way to heal. I wanted to work on myself inside out and fitness became my therapy to do so. I was a naturally a petite woman weighing 98 lbs all through high-school and my first two years of college and wanted to put on weigh because I was tired of being bullied for being skinnyt. I knew there was a way I could use fitness to get the body I desired. I wanted more curves. I wanted a bigger butt. But I didn't want my waist to get bigger - I wanted to shrink it actually. |
And though everyone around me thought there was no way to achieve my goals I knew there was a way fitness and my nutrition could help me obtain my new goals set. I began going into the gym at late hours to understand my body in a new way. I began using machines offered in ways they weren't supposed to be used to get the glute activation needed to cause true butt growth. How I figured this out? I honestly just feel like I was meant to do this because I was like a kid in a candy store figuring out how to transform my body. I went from 32in glutes to 36 in glutes in just a matter of 3 months. 98 lbs to 130 lbs. I began to drink protein and eat foods that were great to promote booty growth paired with my workouts. I was pretty proud of myself to accomplish a goal I set out to do and that was the moment fitness became more than just fitness to me. It showed me that whatever you put your mind to and wholeheartedly go after you can achieve. That was when the #BBCSquad was first born.
I wanted to help women (which turned into men being inspired as well!) learn to love themselves and gain confidence not only in themselves but in their dreams as well. Motivating others is a passion of mine and I am so blessed to be able to do so through fitness. I am not here for you to wish your body looked like mine, I am here to motivate you to go after your body goals and stay consistent to your plan! My body is simply just motivation for you to fall in love with yours!

Building your glutes out and creating that hour glass figure we all desire isn't a task that happens over night. Just like anything it takes consistency and dedication to achieve your goals but I promise you it's worth the focus. Learning yourself and your body and gaining that confidence at the same time is the best reward and gift you could ever give yourself.
